What is it?  What are the details?
Disciple Now 4 Kids is an event offered in conjunction with the LSU/BCM which offers A special time for our preteens to meet together and have a special time getting to know other preteens, studying God’s word, putting God’s word to action in performing a service project and of course having plenty of fun activities like the LSU/BCM Tiger Olympics.

This year we will have Friday night lock-in at the church.  Our youth praise band will lead our worship and Bro. Dana will lead a special teaching on prayer while our college leaders will help the kids understand the different ways they can talk with God.  We will leave campus to go Galactic Bowling at Circle Bowl from 10:30p-1am.  We will have breakfast on campus prior to going to LSU for Tiger Olympics sponsored by the LSU BCM.

Who can attend?
Disciple Now 4 Kids is for 3rd – 6th grade students. 

What is Tiger Olympics?
Tiger Olympics is a day packed with exciting outdoor activities and high-energy worship, held at Denham Springs High School’s Hornsby Gym. Host homes will provide transportation to and from Tiger Olympics. Kids from churches all around the Baton Rouge area attend Tiger Olympics, and enjoy relay races, crazy games, and interaction with BCM Leaders.

How much does it cost?
The cost is $20.00 per person. This includes a t-shirt, snacks on Friday, breakfast and lunch Saturday, the cost of Tiger Olympics and transportation for the weekend.  Please put money inside the special registration envelope found by the Children’s Ministry Bulletin Board. Please make checks payable to Florida Boulevard Baptist Church.  Also, please download a Medical Release form from http://fbbc.org/children.htm or you can pick one up at the church office.

What does my child need to bring?

• sleeping bag or bed roll

• pillow

• towel

• change of clothes for Tiger Olympics appropriate for playing and the weather

• Bible and notebook

• A backpack may be helpful

• Toothbrush and toothpaste

• Extra pair of old tennis shoes

Note:  You may wish to send a few dollars for the concession stand on Saturday at Tiger Olympics. Lunch during Tiger Olympics and a t-shirt are included in the fee for the weekend. 

What will the Bible Study sessions cover?

This year’s theme is Wii Pray and kids will participate in a study about how God wants us to communicate with Him and what His promises are when we do.  Our kids will learn different styles of prayer that can be adapted to their life and situations.

Who are the Disciple Now leaders?

The Leaders are college and high school students along with some key Children’s ministry leaders who are members of our church and some LSU/BCM students who have a heart for God and sharing their faith.
